No Permit? You Will be Violently Attacked

"I was shocked because it seemed like one person after another was being brutally tackled, and it wasn't clear why," said Meaghan Linick, 23, from Greenpoint, Brooklyn, who attended the rally. "I was deeply disturbed to see them throw a man [down] and immediately they were pounding on him. Their arms were going back in the air. I couldn't believe how violent five people needed to be against one unarmed man."

2 posts ago I stated that G20 style government violence against peaceful protesters would happen in the U.S. Well, here it is. It's just the beginning (not that this kind of government violence hasn't happened before).

The government's position was probably that the protesters didn't have a permit to protest. So this gave them license to dole out what governments do best, especially the U.S. government -- violence.
