I do not advocate government agents in schools with guns -- it's a bad idea because too many of them are either total cowards or psychopaths bent on escalating almost any kind of minor situation until it gets out of hand so that they can then become violent.
Better to solicit volunteers from the school staff and teachers, train them and either have them carry concealed or have guns in secure lock boxes.
