According to the peasant, there is no law to show ID to a cop in this kind of scenario (supported by the cop not charging with refusing to show ID). The arrest happens near the end. The cop simply was offended by the peasant daring to stand up for his rights by not submitting to his arbitrary and tyrannical demands.
The peasant was charged with "resisting arrest" (he obviously did not resit, it's on film), "disturbing the peace", and "disorderly conduct." Was all that really necessary?
The moral of the story is that it is good to obey authority no matter what authority demands of you and it's evil to stand up or challenge authority.
